Radiesse® is a long-lasting dermal filler, plumps wrinkles and corrects volume loss in the face and hands. Radiesse® contains Calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) – a well-established collagen stimulator and structural protein in our skin. When diluted with sterile saline and lidocaine, Radiesse® is increasingly used as a biostimulatory agent rather than a volumizing filler to rejuvenate skin on the face, neck, and body
Radiesse is one of the longest lasting forms of skin rejuvenation, with results typically lasting 12-18 months. This synthetic calcium soft-tissue filler works to restore the skin’s foundation, providing a scaffold to correct furrows, early jowls, loss of cheek fullness, slacking jawline, and defects in the nose.
Injections of diluted Radiesse® can tighten saggy, crepey skin in areas where exercise and other treatments are unable to correct such as the neck, décolletage, hands, buttocks, thighs, arms, abdomen, knees and elbows. Dilute Radiesse® can also smooth cellulite-induced skin irregularities on the buttocks and thighs, improving body contours. By stimulating the body’s own collagen response, patients notice long-term improvement in skin texture, firmness, and laxity.
Results are visible approximately 4 weeks after the first treatment and most patients require a series of injections to achieve best results. There can be some bruising, swelling and mild discomfort with the treatment, however most patients tolerate injections well and are very satisfied with results. As with other procedures, this unique treatment can be used in combination with lasers, injectables, and other modalities to achieve a desired aesthetic result.
